UPCYCLING WORKSHOPS

Upcycling clothing takes unwanted or damaged garments and reworks them into reimagined clothing, accessories or homeware. 

Helen took her first sewing lesson six years ago and since then, everything she has created has been from discarded materials. She's never visited a fabric shop! Even the buttons, zips, ribbons etc are all second hand where possible. 

Helen designs her pieces from scratch, deconstructing a dress or shirt and then reimagining it which takes a special kind of creativity.

She’s designed for her Etsy store, fashion shows, events, Transformation Challenges, the Alt Met Gala and is currently working on an evening wedding dress upcycled from an existing wedding gown!
