      DESCRIPTION

This anthology of rhymes written by English Anglican priest and poet Studdert Kennedy, who was nicknamed Woodbine Willie during World War I for giving Woodbine cigarettes along with spiritual aid to injured and dying soldiers.
The cover and spine are coming away and need gentle handling but the main body of this paperback book is firmly bound and clearly legible. This vintage copy of these poems would make a great gift for a person of faith, a chaplain or a World War 1 researcher - or all three rolled into one!

      ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
      Brand
Condition The spine of this paperback book is creased and damaged as are the edges of the cover. The back cover is no longer attached but folds over like a dust cover so stays in place that way. The book is firmly bound with just one crack in the spine between pages 32 and 33. The edges of the thick pages are browned with age, but the pages themselves are clearly legible.
